I recently had the opportunity to try, and review Unjunked candy. Perhaps you're wondering what this is. It's candy that is just as good in taste quality and quantity as your typical mainstream candy bars, but there are no dyes, preservatives, and it contains only real sugar.
Upon agreeing to do a product review, I typically do a lot of my own research on top of trying and using the products (which I, of course, did this as well). Before sharing some of the things that I learned, let me tell you my own personal reaction of this product!
All of the candy was delicious. It has officially received the approval of The Mom Show, Husband of The Mom Show, and Child of The Mom Show. I am sure that when I purchase this product again for Halloween in a few days (which you can do also, at stores like Staples, CVS, Krogers, Ralphs, Michaels and many more!) I am sure this product will gain the approval of my trick or treaters, and their parents both!
Part of what I was looking for when doing my research, was how they could have possibly made chocolate candies with the brightly colored candy coating (you all know what kind of candy I'm talking about here,) without using ANY dyes? I found out that they used beets for their red and purple colors, cabbage created their blue and green colors, turmeric root was used for yellow, and cabbage and turmeric root were combined to create their green color. (The colors aren't quite as bright and vibrant, but they tasted just as good as the mainstream candies that you can buy! In these there was very little difference in taste!).
I always hesitate on things like this. I'm definitely not as health conscious as I know I really should be when it comes to the foods that I'm feeding my family and myself. As a result, I'm used to what I like, and sometimes I find it difficult to like other things. I had a feeling that I wasn't going to like this candy for that reason, but I was SO wrong. It is really delicious. Other candies they offer are peanut butter cups, chocolate caramel peanut nougat, chocolate caramel nougat, candy coated chocolate, and candy coated chocolate with peanuts. My favorite was the Chocolate Caramel Nougat. My husband's favorite was the Peanut Butter Cups, and my daughter REALLY loved the candy coated chocolate!
I also want to point out, that, while I was reading up on the product, I spent a pretty good amount of time having fun on their website! I would definitely check that out!

Scrapbooking with Rubber Stamps!
I have been scrapbooking for years! I love it. It's been such a great creative release for me. I love all of it. I love going through my photographs, remembering the memories that are contained (and finding a great way to preserve them!) I love cutting and pasting (I used to love making collages as a child, so this probably explains it!) I love finding the perfect embellishments to add to the photographs, and further explain the memories in my photographs.
I keep all kinds of different items from ribbons, rubber stamps, stickers, magazine clippings, buttons and more! There are things in my craft box, that no one would expect to be there. Once I'm able to use it once, I will keep it for the future. I keep gift bags and wrapping paper to use for pictures from holidays and birthdays. They make great background for the photos (and some gift bags have some adorable embellishments on them that can be used!) . I kept a bunch of the table confetti from my wedding, and it made a great addition to my wedding scrapbook! I actually used a napkin from my baby shower in my daughter's baby book! I have begun using rubber stamps as a simple page filler that looks nice, but doesn't take away from the pictures.
I currently have a wedding book, baby book, and an everything book. I have been working on another "everything book" for my husband as well. I also did a couple of memorial scrapbooks for a girl that I went to high school with who passed away very young.
I only wish I had more time to do this. I am really a perfectionist when it comes to doing this (even though I typically only do it for fun) so it takes a lot of time. I also don't like to start a new page that I won't have time to finish within that same session! There are so many great tools out there to help!
If you're interested in learning more about scrapbooking, tips and tricks, etc, please comment, including any questions that you may have and I will write follow up posts on this topic, featuring answers to your questions!

Piggyback Rider!
I have recently learned about a product called The Piggyback Rider! Basically, this is a child carrier that allows your child a "piggy back ride" whenever you're out walking!
One of the great reasons that I love this, is because most carriers are made for infants. This one is specifically made for children over two and a half years of age. My daughter is a good walker, but, like most kids, becomes a bit of a complainer when the distance is too far, or she begins getting tired. My husband carries her on his shoulders, but that gets tiring too! I am excited to be able to have another option!
Basically, this functions like a regular backpack, in the way that you wear it. It holds your child in place with a safety tether, while your child essentially stands on an adjustable textured bar, distributing their weight, evenly and comfortably, while holding on to the hand straps. This product makes your whole experience, whatever it may be, comfortable and safe for everyone!
Some important safety information: This product is meant for children who are older than 2 1/2 years old, but only up to 60 pounds. At this time, the Piggyback Riders are not recommended for children with special needs (but they're actually working on it! Check out their website because right now they're putting together a focus group to help make this happen!)
This product has won MULTIPLE awards, including Parent Trusted, Parent Approved, Outdoor Retailer's Best New Product on Summer 2011, and Seals of Approval from The National Parenting Center, and MrDad.com!
Here is a picture of Tori Spelling, Dean McDermott and their two children using this product and loving it!
Whether you're looking for a gift for parents, or a way to be able to just enjoy more with your children I highly suggest checking out this company!

Give a GREAT Holiday gift with Butt Bench!
If you've been with me for a while, you may remember that I did a review for Butt Bench a while back. If not, you can read about it here!
I actually sought this company out for my gift guide, because I really feel that this would make a great gift. It is just such a versatile gift, that I honestly believe that ALL of you have someone on your gift list that could surely use this.
Whether you have someone who could use the extra safety of sitting down in their bathtub, or someone who just wants to! Also, for those of us who shave their legs, surely, you can relate to the fact that it's just easier sitting down! I have one of these in my own bathroom and I just LOVE it! I use it as a seat in my bathroom. See, we have a standing shower, and a bathtub next to it in our bathroom. I sit there with a book while I'm coloring my hair (27 is just TOO young for greys!), I use it when I shave my legs, and my husband even uses it too (which is proof that this can be a good gift for men also!)! When my daughter is congested, I bring her in there, we sit on it and I run hot water for a steam bath.
This is easy to set up, fun to use, and I can't think of a single person that I know, that wouldn't appreciate the Butt Bench as a gift! Because of it's gift versatility, I wanted to take another opportunity to share the Butt Bench with you, because I really feel like it's a great product. I really wrote a positive review on it months ago, and after using it for that amount of time, seeing the great many uses that it has, and how much my whole family loves this product, I am really pleased with the opportunity to recommend it to you again!
I also wanted to take a moment to note, that they also offer other products on their website as well. I can't tell you enough how much I recommend this product and company! If you're interested in giving the gift of safety, convenience, and/or a little easier pampering, check Butt Bench out today!

Cleava Review and FREE SHIPPING offer!
I had the opportunity to review Cleava, and I was grateful for the opportunity! The Cleava is a piece of fabric that you hook onto your bra, and it conceals cleavage, and looks like there's a shirt there!
It seems that clothing seems to be getting less and less conservative, so this was a product that I was excited to be able to share. (My daughter's only four, but will definitely have a few of these when she's older, should she decide to like lower cut clothing!), and I might buy more of them for myself! I have some lovely shirts that I really like, but won't wear them most places, because they are cut lower than I'd like them to be.
They're really easy to use, and can be applied in just three simple steps!
You may have noticed that you might have found this review in my Holiday Gift Guide, and that's because I think that this would be a great practical gift! If you would like to purchase one, I actually have a coupon code, unique to THIS blog (meaning only my readers will receive it) that will provide you with FREE SHIPPING on orders over $50! To take advantage of this offer, enter the code: FSMSH so go check them out for yourself!
You can also check them out on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest!

Delivery.com Review
Are you hungry? Do you ever wish that the Sushi place in town, the mexican place up the street or that burger joint you loved as a kid would just deliver dinner to your house? Pizza and chinese food are great. Delicious, in fact, but sometimes, you just want more! I know that when I don't feel like cooking, I would love for there to be more options!
Delivery.com is a great way to make that happen! You go to their website, and put your address in. They let you know each restaurant in your area where you can order food, you place your order, and either have it delivered, or go pick it up. You don't have to search for menus, look up phone numbers or anything. This website takes care of all of it! They even have iphone and Android apps for ordering on the go!
So whether you're feeling like this:
Or this:
Or even this:
Delivery.com has you covered! In fact, gift cards to this site would probably make an excellent gift for someone who orders take out a lot (after doing this review, I am seriously considering getting one for my college aged sister for Christmas!)
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Kasspat Hair Color Chalk Review!
I was given the opportunity to review Kisspat Hair Color Chalk. It's basically just chalk that you rub onto you hair and color is applied that way. It's really easy to apply. Instructions come with the product, and you can also go to their website for some how-to tricks.
I decided that this would be a fun little adventure with my four year old. She liked the idea of "coloring in her hair" so we did it. Unfortunately, this wasn't an easy project for a young child. I would recommend only using this project with blond or really light hair if you want any of the darker colors to show up, my daughter has brown hair, and it really didn't show up very well at all. I would also recommend doing this for an evening when you're going to be washing it out shortly after, the website says it will last up to two days, but I wouldn't leave it in there that long. We did it after her bath yesterday evening, and when I brushed her hair this morning, it was AWFUL! Imagine brushing your hair with dried hair spray in it, because it's like that.
That being said, the color that showed up did look kind of cool, and we will probably use this for Halloween, using the brighter colors that will match her costume. It is a decent product if used the right way.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Have you heard of Fiverr?
I just found this site a few days ago. I have been looking at it because there are SO many things that you can find services for at only $5 each!
Another blogger that I know found someone to do a video advertisement for her, and it only cost her that $5, and the advertisement is great, it is so fitting for her blog, and for the Halloween time period.
Seeing that, and then seeing the awesome products and services that people are offering, I am hooked. I will be back to check out this website really often!
Note, that for some of the services you can pay for "extras", like faster service, etc. But the starting cost for everything that is offered, is only $5! I highly recommend at least going and checking it out. If nothing else, it might be entertaining. There were some interesting (and all family friendly from what I've seen browsing) ones there!

Bows-n-Ties Review
We all know a man who can use a new tie, and a lot of us choose to use this as our gifts to them when Holidays roll around. This is why I am glad to share with you this company called Bows-n-Ties! They sell quality made ties, that typically retail for $50-$60, but they sell them for the low price of $24.60.
They do have some nice ties to choose from, and I will show you a few of them. I chose not to take a picture of the one that they sent me, because both my husband and I really thought it was quite unattractive (it was a red and beige small plaid-type of design, neither of us liked it and I could never picture him wearing it.). They do have some really nice looking ties, though(and obviously when you purchase one, you'll be able to actually choose one that suits your liking!).
All of these images were provided to me by the company.
These ties do have a great quality and durability to them, so I was impressed with that. I also believe that these ties would make a great gift, providing you can find one that suits the taste of your recipient.

I know that for me, fall is a wonderful time of year for baking, and cooking. I love making cookies, pies, cakes, and more! My family and friends, of course, love this too. I don't know if it's the cool air, or the colors, or the fact that the Holidays will probably soon be upon us, but I love the aroma of something that I made filling my home, the heat from the oven, and watching my family enjoying something that I made. It's relaxing, and almost therapeutic for me.
I can also imagine, that if you, or someone you're cooking for, are diabetic, that this can be a little more difficult. I know, that if I was putting a member of my family at risk, or that they would have to sit out on trying the fruits of my baking sessions, that I wouldn't enjoy this nearly as much. There are people in my family who have had issues with their blood sugar, and it's naturally, really necessary to remain mindful of that when cooking for them upon their visits.
This is why I'm so glad that I am able to share with you, the fact, that by clicking the picture above, you can get a free fall recipe book for Diabetics! They contain delicious recipes that are friendly to those who need to be mindful of their blood sugar. I am definitely appreciative of Alliance Health Care Services, for providing this opportunity. I personally want to be able to welcome anyone I love and care about into my home, and know that I will be able to feed them, and enjoy their company. I love resources like this that allow me to do so.

Make a Fall Collage
The other day, my daughter and I made some Fall collages. I think that this is a fun project that can be truly fun for children of varied ages. It's a fun project that can be done in two parts.
First of all, we went outside in our yard and took a little walk, and I had my four year old pick all of the leaves that she liked the best, and some other things she thought that she might like to include in her art.
We ended up with leaves, straw, and more in our bucket:
(I have explained to her that her art is her own, there is no right or wrong art. When she is making something, she is the artist, and it's whatever she wants. I think giving kids creative freedom, and empowering them to use it is just so important. She used to draw and ask if it was good, or if she was doing it "right". I made sure she knows that her art is her own, and, while I would be proud of anything that she made, she was the first, and really only, person that needed to love it and think it was beautiful. I always let her know that I love it, because it's hers, but I think I've gone on a slightly unrelated tangent here..)
Anyway, after she carefully picked out what she wanted to be on her collage, we brought the bucket inside. The beautiful thing about this project, is that you don't need much other than what you find, some paper, and some glue. That's it.
We ended up making three different collages. She was having a lot of fun, and we had plenty of stuff. Obviously she didn't want to waste any of her carefully chosen items, so we spent a lot of time carefully gluing her items to pieces of paper.
Up to this point, I hadn't really let her do much of the handling of the glue, because I just didn't want to deal with the mess, but I figured, as a four year old who will be entering Kindergarten in a matter of months, it was really time for me to get over that. She did a pretty good job, and we had minimal mess, and the final product came out as something that she was proud of!

Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops
Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops are just awesome. I know that sounds really basic, but these are really wonderful. They taste good and they really do sooth and coat a sore throat!
They taste like a hard candy, and they coat your throat as well as tea or honey do. Here's another interesting fact about them. They aren't hard! They're stiffer than a gummy candy, but not a whole lot. I had never seen a drop like this before, so I really didn't think that they would be very helpful, and I thought it would be really difficult to resist the urge to chew them! (They feel like a gummy bear, but they are a lot stiffer if you try to bite into them.) After trying these drops, I don't know that I really have any interest in going back to regular cough or throat drops for my next sore throat.
I had the opportunity (lucky me!) to give these drops a real life review a few days ago, when one evening, a sudden sore throat and fever hit me. I took ibuprofen, and had some of these drops. I keep mentioning that they coat your throat, because they truly do. My throat felt just like I had some tea and honey, or some thick medicine. This happened on Saturday night, and I was leading our Music Worship at church on Sunday Morning. (I'm not saying this is a miracle cure or anything, but it did sooth my throat enough where I was able to sing.)
You can buy these throat drops now for approximately $3.49 at CVS nationwide!

Grow your own Bananas indoors!
My daughter, husband and I ALL love eating bananas, and, while they are cheap as far as produce and fruit goes, it is money that I spend on groceries every week. My family also loves planting and gardening. I think I have found a great item to buy for my family for Christmas!
An Indoor Banana Tree! We can grow our own bananas in our home, and have plenty of them! For only $10!! Plus, we get an extra tree for free! What a great deal, and how fun it will be to be able to literally pick our favorite breakfast fruit directly from a tree in our kitchen!
This is a great gift for people who want to be able to grow their own food within their homes. This is also great for people living in Apartment buildings, who want to be able to grow some of their own food, but don't necessarily have the land available to do so. I would have loved this so much a year ago while I was living in an apartment, and will love it now while we don't have our garden set up yet!

T-Box Product Reviews (For Women Only!)
I don't know about you, but I keep Tampons in my purse, along with seemingly hundreds of other things. Sometimes they're hard to find, and sometimes they come open in there. Well, they used to.
I have found a product called T-Box, which is a box made for holding Tampons. It's durable, and easy to use.
They hold three or four tampons at a time and even have a place on top to put medicine (midol, ibuprofen, etc)! These are targeted for high school girls, especially around back to school time, but I find myself loving this product for myself (Don't worry, my four year old doesn't quite need it yet!)!
They really don't look a whole lot different than an eye glass case, so it is now also easier than ever to conceal your tampons! I don't know about you, but when my menstrual cycle was still a new part of my life, I was embarrassed about it. I would have absolutely loved a product like this!
You can purchase them for your teenage girl, or, like I said, you might love them also! This product is really pretty great. A pretty simple, but really wonderful idea!

Packaways Storage Box Review!
I had the opportunity to do a review for the kind of item that I think every home needs.
We all have things that we don't use every day that we want to keep, we all have our seasonal items, old clothes that either will fit our kids someday, (or, let's be honest, we're hoping will fit us again someday).
Regular, cardboard storage and packing boxes are boring, and they don't really stand up for as long as we might like for them to.
What would you say if I told you about a durable, easy to use, reusable storage box, that come in different colors?
They're called Packaways, and they are everything that I described above. They automatically open into place, so they're easy to use. They are compact and fold easily flat when not in use. They're very durable, so you can use them again and again! They even have a square on them that can be labeled, erased, and labeled again with dry erase markers!
They come in different sizes, also! I am currently using these to store hidden Christmas gifts! I plan on wrap some larger gifts in these boxes, and then using them for storage again!
I highly recommend these boxes for the numerous purposes that they are able to serve!
