Mia Mariu Review!
I was given the opportunity to review some eye shadow from Mia Mariu recently.
I was excited about this opportunity because I have been wanting for quite some time to begin reviewing beauty products for you guys.
I received a two-color eye shadow and was so excited to try it. There was a light purple and an almost peach color. The two together created a really subtle look that I just love. It's undramatic, but still makes my eyes stand out just a bit.
As I think about this make up, I remember quote I heard on Full House once: "the way to look nice wearing makeup, is to look like you're not wearing any". Seems like that wouldn't make sense, right? But these colors add just a little accent to my eye lids without standing out. Who wants to look like Mimi from Drew Carey? Not me!
What I did with this, was used the purple right above my lashes and in my crease line, and then put the lighter color in between and on top, then I blended it together with the brush that they graciously included. (I had never used a separate brush for eye shadow before, so this use worked for me!) A little bit of eyeliner on my lower lid and some mascara completed my look.
Not only are the colors beautiful, but they didn't cake on, and they weren't heavy. It felt light and like I wasn't wearing anything there at all.
This is currently my new "go to" eye shadow. Perfect for church, or any day when you want a subtle eye makeup!
Be on the look out, because, later, they are offering one reader a $400 shopping spree!!!!!!
