New Walgreens Balance Rewards

I had heard alot about this program but hadn't really looked at how the programs works. I went to walgreens website to had to click a few different places to get the info I was looking for so I thought I would bring it all together here for everyone to see and make it easy to find.

Here is how I understand the program works:

• You have to sign up for this card if you want to be able to get the special sale prices at Walgreeens. If you have a smartphone you can fill out the form and put it in your passbook if not just fill out the online form here and they will mail it to you. Oh and of course it is free :)
• You will get 500 points for each prescription and immunization you get at Walgreens. AR, NJ, and NY has special regulations on this part which you can see here.
• You can get 10 points for every mile you walk. You just need to sign up for Walk with Walgreens here and link it to you card.
• You can redeem points starting at 5,000 points

• 5,000 points = $5
• 10,000 points= $10
• 18,000 points= $20
• 30,000 points= $35
• 40,000 points= $40
• These points do expire in 36 months or if you have no activity whithin 6 months
• Each week there is deals in the store that will let you earn points pretty fast.
• If you have AARP you get 5,000 points when you spend $25 in a single purchase. You must link your AARP membership card to your Walgreens balance rewards card
